Visa-free entry for a period of 30 days is granted to citizens of Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Costa Rica, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Iceland, Japan, Republic of Korea, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Malta, Monaco, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, U.K. and U.S.A. with passports valid for six months and onward or return tickets. Citizens of other countries holding foreign passports or travel documents with more than 6 month's validity must obtain a visa in their own country.
Nationals from following countries for visitor visa to business in the Republic of China must fulfill the procedures of this section: Afghanistan, Algeria, Bangladesh (To apply for visas at Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Thailand, and applicable to applicants who have visited Taiwan only.), Bhutan, Ghana, Cuba, Iran, Iraq, Democratic People's Republic of Korea, Laos, Myanmar, Nigeria, Nepal, Pakistan (To apply for visas at Taipei Economic and Cultural Representative Office, in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and applicable to applicants who have visited Taiwan only.), Sri Lanka, Somalia and Syria.
