General Information for Submitting Abstracts
The Scientific Committee of the 16th APCC will review all submitted abstracts for either oral or poster presentations. The authors of accepted abstracts will be acknowledged by e-mail after July 1st, 2007. The presenting author must register for the Congress before the abstract is submitted and is willing to travel to Taiwan once the abstract has been accepted.
All abstracts are strongly encouraged to be submitted through the ONLINE ABSTRACT SUBMISSION SYSTEM. Submitting more than one abstract is acceptable. For those who have difficulty accessing the Online Submitting System on the Congress website, please contact the Congress Secretariat via e-mail at service@apcc2007.org.

Format for Writing Abstract(s)
- The abstract should be written in English, typed in Times New Roman font, single-space, and saved as the MS-Word file format. Other formats will not be accepted.
- Use standard abbreviations and place a special or unusual abbreviation in parenthesis after the full word appears. Use generic names of drugs. Write numbers as numerals rather than words.
- The title of paper should be concise in bold and IN CAPITALS, size 14 and left justified. Single space is also required.
- The author's name should begin with full first name, middle initial and last name (the name of the presenting author should be underlined), size 12, normal and left justified. Please also indicate the affiliations of the authors.
- Text of the abstract should be in font size 12, normal and full justification. The body of the text should cover the purpose of introduction/background, methods, results and conclusions (200-250 words).

Paper Awards
The Congress will provide 3 Excellent Abstract Awards and 3 Young Investigator Awards for those who would like to participate in this competition. The Scientific Committee will choose five abstracts for Excellent Abstract Award and other fives for the Young Investigator Award from the applied abstracts in advance. Each presenting author of the chosen abstracts needs to give a fifteen-minute oral presentation (including Q&A) during the Congress. The Scientific Committee will decide the final six winners. Please notice that each applicant can submit only one abstract for this competition.
Excellent Abstract Award
Outstanding abstracts will be selected for the Excellent Abstract Awards. There will be 3 winners. Each winner will receive a grant of USD1,000 and have his/her registration fee waived.
Young Investigator Awards
The first author of the paper must be a young investigator under 40 (born after June 1st 1966) when the paper is submitted for the Young Investigator Award competition. Other co-authors may be listed, but the oral presentation must be given by the young investigator candidate. There will be 3 winners. Each winner will receive a grant of USD1,000 and have his/her registration fee waived.
Each applicant NEEDS to:
- Submit the abstract accompanied with the condensed manuscript together with your curriculum vitae (within one page). An official document to prove your current age is also needed when applying for the Young Investigator Award.
- Choose the "Apply for Excellent Abstract Award" or "Young Investigator Award" while submitting online.
- Complete the registration form and pay the registration fee in advance. For the six winners, the registration fee will be reimbursed during the Congress.
